Over rev report

I don't have any input but I'm new here and trying to learn. "Over rev report" I assume that means the number of times or length of time spend in the red or somewhere over a "safe" red? I see your highlighted numbers but don't fully understand the terminology with them.
I'm buying a Cayman soon and am trying to understand what to look for in one of these inspections.

Yea, the report shows the number of ignition cycles around the rev limiter. Range 1 & 2 are before the limiter, 3 and higher are above the limiter.

What are the Total Operating Hours?
What is the mileage on the odo?
Strange to see over-revs in range #4 and #5 without operating hours also registered.
Does the car have a tune? Was the DME-ECU wiped?
I'd proceed with caution.

-The total hours are not listed in the report. Not sure why.
-Not sure if its tuned. It's at the dealership a few states away. I did not know you could wipe the ECU?
It's CPO'ed so it should be ok???

I'd want to know the total op hours. Easy for them to tell you. Ask.
Also ask them why no time stamps in range 3 and 4?
Also ask them how Porsche can CPO the car with over revs in range 3 and 4.
Get response in writing.

Yeah, I too am surprised it can be CPO'd with those over-revs. On the Durametric site they talk about people trying to reset and hide things, but only some of the things get reset. They mention looking at various timestamps/averages to see if they are consistent and make sense. I wonder if someone tried a "reset" to hide the overrevs, but only the time not the count got reset. Just a wild guess, but you should get answers.

So on this report it shows 17 ignitions in Overspeed Range 3 - does this mean that the engine went almost 3 cycles (intake, compression, ignition, exhaust) across all cylinders? 3 complete cycles of 6 cylinders being 18 ignitions. If so, at that speed it wasn't there very long!

It's a manual.
I talked to the technician that did the CPO and he talked to Porsche about it. They said if the hours did not populate that is is a false positive. I am waiting for him to get me the total hours so I can verify the mileage to make sure there is no funny business going on. If it all checks out I am going to buy it

Number of ignitions / 3 = number of engine revolutions
Number of revolutions / by rev limiter = minutes spent at limiter
Minutes spent at limiter x 60 = seconds spent at limiter.
