Default Wheel recommendations for Cayman R

I recently purchased a 2012 Cayman R in Platinum Silver. It's great.

I want a second set of wheels and want to try 18's, for when I'm driving on ****ty roads or want to burn up cheaper tires.

I feel like the black wheels work really well on this car. Does anyone have suggestions?

I basic Cayman wheels, and there are some black ones on ebay

O. Z. Alleggerita's are lighter but I wonder how good they'd look:

I guess silver wheels aren't so bad?

The OZ wheels are nice and probably the lightest.

First off I would like to congratulate you on your purchase of your Cayman R, it is truly an outstanding machine on and off the track! I see that there is some interest in buying a second set of wheels that will be able to withstand every day street use. For your reference we offer a variety of fully forged custom wheels that are able to withstand the harshness of everyday street driving, as well as being able to perform without failure on the track unlike most standard cast alloy wheels. The wheels that we offer are the best bang for your buck forged wheels in the market and we can custom build a set of wheels for your application. Here is link to our product thread for more information on our wheels, and below are some pictures of our popular SV104s on a 987 Cayman for reference. Shoot me a PM for any questions/orders, it would be great to work with you!”

I like the black base Cayman wheels. With a drop and spacers they will fill out the fenders just fine and the added sidewall will be great on a street car.

Any specific recommendations? Forgeline doesn't seem to make a lot of 18-inchers, and the few I'm finding I'm not loving.

That's what I'm leaning toward. They're not my favorite wheel ever, but I think they look pretty decent in black. And they're light.

Do you have any more pictures of yours on your car? You can't really see them in that photo.

And aren't you selling your car anyway? Sell me your wheels!

They look pretty nice on this red 993.

The CR with 18 inch OZ Alleggerita wheels looks very nice. I had matte graphite silver on my peridot CR. It looked great. Fit is real nice.

I think they have a racey/track look rather than a showy street look.
