That looked like a parade lap.

Yea, the tough part of that road is the traffic, and officer Snow.. I go ride ducatis for an event I organIze there each May, and I get pulled over each year by officer Snow. It's pretty funny actually... He's got a few dastardly spots where he lies in wait and he'll get 'ya!

Lots of other amazing roads around the dragon also.. Hwy 28 comes to mind.. Omg like a roller coaster. Amazing

On the plus side, officer snow is only collecting taxes and there are no points to mar your license.

I've been on the TOTD once and it was an incredible experience. Fortunately traffic and office snow were not present so it was a great run. I would rank it as one of the best driving roads in the US and best part is the road conditions are excellent.

Fortunately there are also some incredible places here in SoCal with equal amount of twisty roads and beautiful scenery. The only downside is the road conditions are inconsistent and there's more traffic.

Truth.

Wondering if you have better luck traveling west on Ortega from Elsinore, which I assume you do often coming from Temecula. For me, traveling east on Ortega heading toward Elsinore always seems much more congested. Can't ever time Ortega right. Always a log jam. Usually end up settling for Silverado Canyon, Santiago Canyon and Majeska Canyon, but they are a distant second compared to Ortega IMO.

I keep hearing rumors that plans are in the works to widen Santiago Canyon at some point I hope I'm long gone before that happens.

Ortega is always crowded these days, I have yet to catch a break going in either direction. I honestly don't even bother with Ortega anymore, Mt Palomar is far more challenging and has far less traffic. Last weekend I did the opposite of what everyone else usually does and I took East Grade Rd up the mountain and South Grade Rd down the mountain. I did not encounter a single car going up and only two cars going down, both of which pulled off to let me pass. I can't even count how many cars I passed on the way up and down, it was crowded.

Back on topic.....my Spyder in the Wild.

^^^^Beautiful!

Thanks for the tip on Palomar. Did a Palomar drive with Shinoo at Sector 111 and some other Lotus folks a couple of years back. Very, very nice drive.

Nice Marine Blue. I often say, I'll take any color you have as long as it's black

Enjoyed a morning drive. Shamed a Vette in a cloverleaf. Life is good.
