Reading the Spyder thread on Pistonheads, it sounds like European allocations are already known.

No confirmation from Porsche that the unamed source is accurate. It's funny that everyone rushed to print with this without confirming it's validity.

Doesn't change anything for me at this time.

How long are the lists at the two dealers?
I don't have precise #s; but, I gather not many. That is, if one wants it, he/she can get it. A friend of mine called a couple of other dealers; they didn't have anyone on the list at all. Not sure what to make of it. A lukewarm response? That might change once glowing reviews start coming in!

Besides, the delivery isn't expected to happen before October anyway. In my case, I may have to just park it for the winter! :-(

Default GT SILVER?

I put down a deposit yesterday and there was a turbo in GT Silver on the floor and now I'm seriously considering it... I thought Rhodium Silver was a cheaper alternative if I went that route but the GT Silver looks awfully good. Not sure if it's worth the extra money though. Anyone else considering GT Silver?

I am between GT Silver and Metallic white. I'm doing the red leather interior, which looks awesome with GT Silver exterior. Love white also. Tough choice.

The only thing with the red interior package is the interior paint trim will be GT silver irregardless of the exterior color.

I think that will look fine with a white exterior though. Not like it's going to clash.
I had also been looking at GT silver in the configurator but haven't seen it in person to see if it's worth the extra cash. My current S is platinum silver though and I think I might want something out of the silver spectrum.

That fact alone may be what sways me towards GT Silver exterior. I saw that combo a couple years ago in a Boxster and liked it a lot.

Silver w red interior is a gorgeous combo.

I'll probably change my mind 10 more times waiting for the allocations to drop. Lol

Default GT Silver

The GT Silver looks like a copy of the silver of James Dean's car. It reminded me of the color of a silver ingot. Smoky and deep but not dark at all which sounds like an oxymoron. It made the rhodium silver look blue and sort of thin. Gosh the premium of the GT Silver combined with the Red interior combo really pushes up the price and it's all aesthetic so it's difficult to justify for me personally. I was just going to opt for the red interior with a few other cheap options and call it a day.... Don't want to regret this decision though. So far I'm thinking plain rims with the painted emblem.

I don't understand why this is? Wish we could opt out of the that trim.
