Default where is everybody

compared to the m3 forums
and the 911 forums
the boxster is absolutely dead
What is going on here?
I always thought there was
a huge enthusiast population for the boxster
where did everyone go?

The problem is there are too many Boxster boards. This is not the largest. Unfortunately, the largest (PPBB) also has the least Boxster content.

Yup, I had the same imprssion when I first came here from the 996 board. Also true about PPBB, not much true Boxster content.

With due respect to thos e of us here, I don't think most Boxster people fixate, err enthuse about their cars as much as the 911 crew. This board is dead.

I wonder why not? I am as enthused with the 987S as the 996 C4S. I am faster on the C4S at the track, but I have more fun with the 987S. As far as drawing attention, I get more stares with the 987S than with the C4S, so the 987S should actually cause more adrenaline.

Hate to say it but boxster people really need to step up.... Miata boards have more activity than this....We will just have to keep trying

Just wait until your Boxster is 15 years old - then you'll be looking for advice for how to fix it too.

Or, we could talk about hard wiring iPods and V1's, a variety of wheel choices, best aftermarket sound systems, best way to do it in a 2 seater.... Hey! Why don't we start that? Experiment and report your findings on "The best way to do 'it' in a 987".

maybe it is the lull before spring
or maybe the roadster market is " mature" now
I suspect the "fad" of roadsters is cyclical and we are
heaaded toward a low point in th3e cycle
great for me as i really find the boxster exhilirating
it is a car where you can feel like you are going fast
without actually going too fast
as opposed to my 993 c4s
where you were going really fast and didnt feel like you were going that fast
too many tickets and prob not safe on public roads

PPBB would be much better if the used the same BB as here. PPBB way of showing/responding to post is too much of a pain in the **** to keep up with.

Haha, you are right about that, but I did get one good driving session before the snow! The funny thing it's been a very warm winter( hit over 60 a couple times)then bam..a blizzard. Anyway she's sitting in the garage now.
