Default 981 Cayman S Track Ready

Hi Everyone.
A few months ago I acquired a 981 Cayman s from a fellow Rennlister.
It’s my second Cayman and probably not the last.
May upgrade to a 997.2 GT3 or 718 GT4 when it comes out.
The previous owner already started to mod it for the track and I added a lot of other mods to it.
So far I have:
MCS suspension 2 way adjustable
Rollcage
Recaro Profi XL. Harnesses
Soul Performance Valved Exhaust
Soul Performance Race headers
Custom COBB tune
Cobb PDK tune
Pagid Yellow pads
Aluminium Pedal set
Track Mat and a few other things

Next week I will get a Vorsteiner Diffuser and a 991 GT3 RS steering wheel installed.

The car is making around 370hp and sounds terrific. Definitely loud for the street but with the valve closed it’s doable for a daily.

Allignment with a -3.5 degrees front and rear.
Car is very reactive and stable on the stable.

I run RE71R on the car. Not a big fan of those tires but at least they stick well for a few laps.

If you have have any recommendations on other mods that ai could do to improve the performance, please let me know.
Next year I will do wider wheels and upgraded brakes with the Girodisc rotors.

Thanks for reading!

Does it have all the other suspension bits? I’m assuming it does because you have 3.5 degrees of camber. There isn’t much else you can do except get more cooling if you don’t already have it. Third radiator and pdk cooler. Aero bits like the gt4 bumper and a bigger rear wing. I’d just do the girodisc and spend more time on the track.

Yes it has other suspension bits. Just need adjustable sway bars and I’m done with it.

Thanks!
It does sound pretty good with the Soul Race Headers and valved exhaust. Definitely recommend this exhaust to anyone looking for an aftermarket option.

on my 02 Boxster S track car I found it necessary to upgrade the brakes to avoid losing them at Sebring. I installed a GT3 master cylinder, SS brake lines, and GT2 cooling ducts. That along with some pro coaching eliminated the brake fade problem I’d had on stock brake setup.

Very cool car you have there! I have HP envy!

Nice graphic wrap, too many cars with wraps probably shouldn't have wasted the money on them but this one looks nice IMO.

How do you like your COB PDK tune? Could you compare it to Sport+ tune or what ever you started with? What exactly did the tune do? Increase RPM limit in gear, upshift much faster, downshift much faster, eliminate the auto downshift when floored? Was the shifting extremely harsh? Did it upset the car on the track -anything else you can think of.

I am very unsatisfied with my stock 987.2 (non Sport+) shifting. Do you have to do the COB engine tune to get the PDK tune ( FVD requires engine to get PDK)?

thanks
