987.2 brake pedal SUCK
I knew the moment I got my 987.2 in Spring there's something wrong with the shifting, braking and steering. It was clear owning a 986 for 10 years that Porsche wanted to "mass appeal" their customers by making the car easier to drive which IMO is a big mistake. I realized the brake pedal is extremely soft especially after driving numerous BMW loaners, Kia rental but especially the Alfa 4C Spyder for a week in Italy. The 4C has the best brake pedal feel in a street car, period.
Finally got the GT3 M/C installed along with a flush. The brake pedal is now working as it should.
Mark this down as one of those "Porsche, what were you thinking?" things. If you haven't done this modification yet, you should get it changed out ASAP.

Might be a problem with your car. Having driven 987.1, 987.2 and now 981 I think they all had great brake feel stock and adequate braking on track with Pagid/PFC.

Tell me about it. I have PCCBs on my spyder and I couldn't believe the pedal felt like crap next to my Mitsubishi Evo X. DO NOT mistake braking capability with feel. The brakes work WELL, but they feel like crap. Porsche did this because they are making their 'sports cars' more palatable to their typical buyers who have no idea what heel/toe is and will never take their car to the track. What I know from PERSONAL experience so far:
1) All 987.2 brake pedals are mushy
2) 986 brake pedals feel great
3) 997.2 GT3 brake pedal feels great
4) 997.1 C2, 997.2 Turbo S braked pedals are mushy
Come to your own conclusions from there.

Or it could be just a difference in opinion. I've driven all kinds of cars and quite like the feel in my 987.1 Boxster S and 987.2 Cayman R. I can tell just about perfectly when ABS is about to engage. Maybe it's better/different depending on the pads?
A track friend told me he put the GT3 MC in his Cayman S and the brake pedal was firmer but too high to effectively heel and toe. What do you think about it?

You can either get used to it, try to lower the brake pedal or raise the gas pedal...

Eh, if you say so. The brakes on my 981 are definitely not mushy or soft, but I realize they're at least slightly different from 987.2 brakes.

I have a 987.2 Cayman and have had no issue with the pedal feel. I am not the original owner so its possible that previous owner replaced the master cylinder but I doubt it. I have a friend that drives a 987.1 and he mentioned that the pedal in my car is much more firm than in his. But he also never flushed the brake fluid in his car.
Its important to maintain the brake fluid to ensure the brake fluid has no air or moisture in it. I had it flushed after buying the car and also bleed the brake lines periodically to remove any air bubbles.

The brake pedal feel in my 987.1 is great and firm. It takes nearly double the pedal force compared to my BMW M240i. My only criticism would be that the brake pedal is higher than I’d like, making heel/toeing at street speeds awkward, so I usually just don’t heel/toe.

Interesting, on my 987.2 Spyder the pedal feel is as good as any I've driven. My e46 and my 987.1 for certain, but it doesn't feel any worse than the slew of other cars I've driven on a track.
The only radically different pedal feel I've felt was in a Lambo at the Vegas track - no idea if it is typical to them or not - but the pedal feels like absolutely nothing as you are pushing it until it feels like 80-90% engaged. It is not gradual at all and took some getting used to.

The brake pedal height is easily adjustable. There is a nut and turnbuckle type adjustment you make from the frunk area, not need to get under the dash, it is all topside.

The feeling I have (987 spyder PDK) it's not different from my previous 997.1S and pretty similar to my other car.
I will go through the thread mentioned to see if it's anyhow worth to go for the mod (unless it was already done. Not being the 1st owner, you never know).
