Default Long term Maintenance and Reliability of 981

I have been driving 2015 Boxter S for the past 2 years. It is a great a pleasure to drive. I am thinking about the long-term maintenance cost or reliability issues with the 981? Apart from Oil, Brake and Tire changes, what should I expect to spend? How does maintenance costs of 981 compared to a non sports car/SUV like Macan?

I’ve been thrashing my ‘14 Cayman for over 4 years, 31k miles and 72 track days. Nary a problem to report. It is a very robust car. I did need to replace one pencil coil under warranty.

The 981s have only been around since MY2013. Isn't it a little premature to discuss "long term" maintenance and reliability?

Thank you for the responses. What will be the condition after 75K/5 Years? My Honda Accord is going strong after 120K/10 Years with no issues.

My only gripes relate to track duty. 981S PDK blew an ignition coil first track day (~95 degree ambient temp), and overheats coolant/PDK until I add a 3rd radiator. Otherwise good, though.

What engine oil do you use and how often do you change it?

What tires do you use at the track?

I use Redline 5w40 and change it 3 times a year (averaging about 6000 miles and 20 track days per annum). Based on oil analyses, there are no issues such as elevated metal values and I could probably go longer between changes. Also note that the 9A1 engine series has been around since 2009 model year, so there is a good track record (pun intended).

Tires, NT01s and Bridgestone RE71Rs.

What ambient temps were you running in before the 3rd radiator when the coolant/PDK overheated?
