Default Bought the last new 2016 Boxster S at dealership

Owned various Porsche over the years including Boxster GTS before venturing into a GT3 (sold) currently have a GT3RS

Love driving the RS but don't want to add too much mileage on it to keep it "special"

Came across the last remaining new 2016 Boxster S (6 cylinder!) that is now replaced with 4 cylinder turbo on 718

Initially I didn't fall for the Mahogany metallic color as it was different from my usual favorites like Agate Grey, White or Silver. I sort of brain washed myself into liking it and now I sort of love it! I mean it's a convertible so what's wrong with having a luxurious color like Mahogany complimented by shiny turbo wheels instead of a sporty color like Grey?

It was everything I "need" especially the sport seeing steering, sports chrono package, reverse camera, CD-R Plus (Bluetooth audio) and turbo rims. Would have liked to have navigation and sports exhaust but then I never ordered this car it just felt like an opportunity not to pass!

Pics coming soon!

This car is all luxury theme! Luxurious Luxor Beige interior with convenience of Reverse Camera

Turbo wheels complement the Mahogany luxurious look much more than I thought! (Only liked Classic wheels before seeing this car)

I've seen blue, gray, and black tops - but never brown. I like it!

congrats on your new car.

One interesting thing about it is the wheels.

The standard and Carrera wheels are a cast wheel. Your turbo wheels are FORGED

Congrats! I picked up a Spyder for the next few years until the 991.2 GT3 RS is in production (I have the first allocation slot at my dealer). I bought it with the intention of trading it back when the RS arrives.

I think I'll end up having a Spyder and the RS in the garage.

Enjoy the ride!

Congratulations! Definitely a luxurious theme all around. Looks cool. Smart move on picking up the NA. You are gonna end up keeping it for good!

Seriously underrated color. I probably would have ordered this if I'd had the chance to see it in person first.

I had a '13 Mahogany/brown/Espresso S I ordered. Great color with undertones of red in the sun. The brown top is a great match.
I had those wheels on my '15TT - a nightmare to clean no matter how great they look!
Congrats - I think the 981 is just terrific.
