Default Spyder comparison 987 and 981

I picked up an issue of GT Purely Porsche because it has an article comparing the two generations of the Spyder...I figured with the snow coming I wanted some reading material

While there is so much to like about the 981 Spyder when compared to the 987, one of the handful of areas it did NOT surpass the 987 was the entire rear end. The 987 fairings have the 981 fairings beat by quite a distance, IMO.

That is an awesome pairing! They are both spectacular cars each with a very specific focus. Did you option them similarly?

i also have a 987 spyder and GT4. The 987 spyder feels lighter on its feet and more connected to the road than the GT4. IMHO this might be due to gearing and steering on the 987 spyder

I bet it's has more to do with the wheels and tires..... GT4 does not feel as agile as a 981 Spyder either as I drove both back to back..... Wheels and tires ( and brakes) are huge on GT4 (yes I noticed yours has PCCB). The 986 Spyder is smaller than both so should be more agile/fun... But all these cars are fun

I dont have PCCB's on my spyder or GT4. But you might be right on the wheels/tires/brakes.
