Default 981 Cayman engine carpet and cover removal

Searched without much luck on how to remove top carpet and engine cover. Read one but couldn't do it. Not like 987. Help Gled

No info in owners manual, everyone must know how to do it and just want me to look stupid, which I feel like. Gled

Got it. The 981 Cayman is no simple task. To do it properly you need to remove rear lower storage side carpet pieces. Remove seat belt trim cover pieces left and right. Our car has basic radio so we have storage boxes by the rear quarter windows, those need to be removed, sliding doors must be closed to remove. Rear side trim pieces by rear hatch opening need to come out. Then metal looking cross piece with water and oil access now can be removed. Alu bar behind seats now needs to be removed. Then the plastic piece under the Alu bar comes out. Now the carpet will come out without butchering the very thick foam insulation attached to the carpet. Then 12 screws hold the engine cover on, and wala, the engine. All pieces have metal clips and guide pins, good luck. Gled
