Default 981 Engine Visibility?

Would it be possible to remove the panels covering the top side of the engine compartment (underneath the rear hatch) so that the engine would become visible through the rear glass as in the Ferrari 360 and 430?

Just a thought.

I've seen these covers on the previous 987 based Caymans. Pretty cool. Think they were made of lexan or something. Not sure if they have one yet for the 981. Soon, I'd bet.

The 987 covers were by HIP design. He had started a thread on Planet-9 early on to get a 981 cover made but I think had problems finding a donor car. After that it seems to have fizzled out...or at least I certainly haven't heard anything. Here is a link the 987 version:

Also I seem to recall seeing a picture of the 981 engine with cover off and the manifold covers look a bit less interesting and smaller than the older car, so a clear engine bay may or may not look so cool on the 981...
