Hi guys - there's a nice 2014 Cayman S PDK demo that showed up locally. I suppose people could have trashed it but it's got full warranty etc... Any concerns, first-hand experience? 12,000 KMs / 7500 Miles

There are two problems...
One is how the demo is treated. Often times it is a thrashed car, maybe not severely thrashed, but thrashed none the less.
Two is the dealer will probably price the car as if being a demo is a good thing.
You are buying a used car with many previous owners, so to speak. You should check out the car as good as you've ever checked out a used car.
Take a longish -- 15 miles -- test ride then repeat the route as a test driver.
Be sure the car does not exhibit any untoward behavior. The engine should be no more noisy than any other.
After the test ride/drive you want the overrev counters read. You want to see just how many times the engine has been at redline or above, if any.
What to make of this info is a personal call. I'm not sure I can tell you what I would have to find that would put me off the car but I'm sure I'd know it when I saw it. IOWs, I guess it be a gut feeling.
I'd insist the car come with a full alignment to address any settling issues or the car having been driven over curbs moving it in and out of the showroom. I'd also insist on an engine oil/filter service -- the dealer will probably tell you this service is not due but I would insist -- and a brake and clutch (if a manual of course) fluid flush and bleed.

The reservation for me would be not really knowing how much this car was thrashed by would be buyers, who had no plans of buying the car they test drove (they will probably be kinder to their own vehicle or one they are actually considering taking home).
You mentioned that it has a full warranty. I would want to know when it was "Punched" as being in service. If the car was an early demo and the car was marked as in service hypothetically in May 2013, then a little over a year of the 4 year warranty is already gone.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Ask them for the overrev report. Should tell you everything you need to know. In addition it might show when the first overrevs occurred, IE was it broken in properly or thrashed from the beginning.

Take a close look at the wheels. If it has been abused by idiots, it will probably be apparent.

Warnings aside, that Gulf Boxster looks fantastic!
