So prior to buying this car I had a 2003 996 Turbo, I loved the car, but it was hard trying to keep it up with some of the smaller shops in my area. I wanted something newer that would need less time as I am away for work a lot, I just wanted to have something I could really enjoy and not worry about as much.

This is what I got, a 2014 Cayman S with 7000km on the clock, it was 6 months old so I got the certified Porsche warranty with it.
I have already installed a Techart paddle kit and ordered 8mm front and 15mm rear spacers, the Techart front spoiler and the smaller Techart rear spoiler. Should have all the parts here next week.

That's a great looking Cayman. Do you miss the power of the turbo much?

Thanks, I do miss the power of the Turbo, but the roads in Edmonton are really bad so having PASM is much nicer. For day to day use the 981 is a better car, and well put together. The Cayman does a great job of putting the power down, and I was always worried about hard shifts into second on the Turbo so the Cayman is functionally faster with the PDK and launch control.
I will miss the Turbo however and I find myself thinking about if moving from a 911 Turbo to a Cayman S was the right choice. Overall I think it was.

I just ordered your ECS spacers this weekend too, 8mm and 15mm, will post pics when I get them installed.

Your story is almost exactly the same as mine! I do find myself missing the power the 996tt had but every time I rev the 981 and hear the PDK shift I feel better about it! Not to mention the 981cs feels to me like it handles better (on thinner rubber). Maybe in 10 years I'll look at a used 991tt? Who knows - until then I will love driving the 981cs!
