Next year Stingray will be old news and Chevy won't care much if they won't win.

Motor Trend will show the track videos over the next three days. Here is the one for the Cayman
I would say Pobst seemed impressed with the handling!

At 1:57 "Nice drift!"

The Cayman looked heavy, slow, sluggish, and full of understeer. It was sloppy and heavy under brakes, he was driving it like it was heavy and unresponsive to the controls, he wasn't on his best line, wide of apexes, and I think the car, the tires or the suspension setup wasn't cooperating. Pobst can thrown down a lap, so it wasn't him, it was either the car or the production schedule not giving him time to put in enough laps. I wouldn't be surprised if the tires were at 50psi and roasting. That's the worst I've seen a Cayman look. I think it deserves a better showing. Does anyone really say "racey feel?" I dunno. Pobst seemed talkative and effusive even though the cars (the others in this video series so far) were all pretty lackluster and a lethargic 1:41.

I think proper alignment, Sport Cups and a "best" lap would surely be :40 flat or sneaking into 39's.

True, if you can hold wide open throttle all the way from the screw into T9, that's falling downhill so fast you'd be scared on a long board, so the car really needs something and you have to assume PDK is in the right gear giving it everything she's got captain!
How many people have to say they want a GT3 engined Cayman (or Boxster ... hell the Boxsters on the road around Pebble last week looked very good) before Porsche says "oh, wait ... what? ... you want to buy one of our cars if only it had more power than a minivan?"

1:41 doesn't sound too bad considering the HP/Lbs of cars holding lap records above it.

Well, the results are in. They did a good job on calling out the Cayman's elephant in the room. It's too perfect and needs more power.

Too much vid time of Randy talking and the best entertainment was the closed captions- clothes caps on- probably just me.

so the top 3 are:

C4s
SLS
R8

Angus said it the best when he said that Cayman is being dumbed down to keep the 911 ahead.

To me the biggest disappointment was the M6. As a previous M owner BMW has completely lost its way.

Loved the wagon in the fight!!!

The Viper bit is funny - can't believe SRT would supply MT with such a car given they knew it will be used for Car of the Year competition. Major PR fail.
