Default Dealer demo 981S--fair price???

My local dealership has a silver/black 981S pdk with msrp of 80,600. It has most of the nice performance options including 20inch wheels, sport chrono, torque vectoring, pasm, etc. They are asking $75k. . It would sold as new with a full warrenty. The car also has a front 3m clear bra. What would be a good price on this car??? Thanks for your input.

I got 5% off sticker on mine - new with 12 miles. I'm not sure that I would buy a demo with such a shallow discount. Those cars are driven hard without any type of break-in.

My two cents...

I agree. You should should be able to get at least 5-6% off a new car that's unused on the lot. And maybe as well if you can order a '13 to be built (my dealer traded for an April allocation in March and I'll have my car by end of May. i didnt get as much off as i wanted, but I'm getting a spec car in about 10 weeks from order, if all goes well). In my climate, that has value to me - we arent too far away from '14s, but i didnt want to lose an entire driving season since i sold the car in my Avatar.
The clear bra at the dealer would probably be $1500-1800, or a lot more than the installer would charge. That's sort of OK if the dealer truly warranties it.
Nice list of options if that's what you're looking for. I didn't see to many with SC, PASM & PTV when I was looking around.
It might be better for you if they had punched the warranty card and were selling it CPO.
I too would be worried about the demo status. "Let's try that launch control thingie again!!!"...
Good luck.

Make sure this is crystal clear. They may have "punched" the warrenty already. Just make sure, so there are no surprises.

Not close to enough of a discount imo. If it were brand new with no miles on it, I would settle at that price. But not a demo, no way.

Go on Porsche's used car finder site. Porsche of Peoria had a really nice S CPO (black/black/black) with under 2K miles for around $68K. I contacted them on it and it seems the buyer was transferred out of the country by his employer. I passed since I didn't want PDK and it's gloss black (which scares me) but as they drop the price, it's looking like a pretty good deal with the ~5 year/100K mile warranty.

Thanks ,very good lead. I have not bargined with the dealer yet but now I am concerned with the demo status. I would think they would have to throw a CPO in the deal and drop the price under 70k to be competitive.

You can bet that some salesman abused that car--just because it wasn't his and he could. I'd look elsewhere unless they drastically drop the price.

I wouldn't personally go near this demo car unless it was less than $65,000.
