Finger on the trigger ...
... but I'm a noob.
Amongst MANY other things I need sage advice with regards to purchasing. If a Porsche dealer has an incoming semi loaded 2014 Cayman S, say listed at $98K (in funny Canadian funds), should I expect to pay the full amount when I ask for a quote -- or a percentage thereof? I would hate to buy it only to find out I was a fool and paid $5K more than I needed.
Failing a discount, should I expect (or push for) anything included over and above the raw spec? Maintenance package? Clear coating? ... ??
PS: Quick / Salient specs: 2014, Premium package, PDK, PASM, PDLS, full leather, 20" CS wheels, etc.
Thanks for helping a noob folks!!

I doubt you'll get much discount for a long while. I don't think they've even begun manufacturing them yet and they have to ship them over. EDIT: correction, production has begun.
When 2013 Boxster initially came out, people were either paying MSRP or getting 3% off at the most. Several months passed before that began changing. The winter also played an effect on Boxster (convertible) pricing.
As far as dealer "options", skip everything except for the clear bra and only if they give you a good price. Those packages are pure profit centers for dealers. Some dealers have good clear bra prices while others double their cost - they don't install themselves but bring in an installer. Shop around for good clear bra installer.

End of April, that's barely enough time! Now you have to get new separate wash mitt, absorber, choose waxes and detail items, straighten garage in preparation, end of April will arrive in no time.

Good luck, and I understand wanting to get into one and drive ASAP.
