The new 981S looks great! I can't wait to see one in person.
Just curious, does it have 2 center mounted brake lights? There is one toward the top of the center of the rear deck lid, but there is something clear under the retractable rear spoiler...is that also a brake light?
Thanks and congrats on your beautiful new 981S.
Best regards,
Dino

The clear light under the spoiler is the reverse light.

Carrara White
Black interior and top
20" Carrera S wheels
Wheel caps in color
Deletion of model designation
PDK
PASM
Sport Chrono Package
Sport Plus seats
Porsche Crest on head restraints
Sport Design steering wheel
Heated seats
2 zone automatic climate control
Automatically dimming mirrors with rain sensor
Floor mats
Wind deflector
BOSE surround sound system
PASM is definately worth it, I had it on my 987as well. It will add comfort in standard mode and stiffness in sport mode and adapt to your driving style instantly. I personally think it's a waste to have the great Boxster chassi without it... but I know others disagree

Sport Chrono is a better option now than it was on the 987, since it now includes the dynamic transmission mounts. I know that some people argue it's "just the transmission mounts" while the 991 have dynamic engine mounts. However, I attended a Porsche Driver training today and got the story behind it:
The dynamic engine mounts in a 991 are supposed to limit the movement of the engine during hard cornering. This problem is specific to the 991 due to the position of the engine. In a Boxster, the position of the engine makes this a non-issue. In the Boxster, you have the gearbox in the rear. Therefore, the dynamic mounts in a Boxster is there to make sure the gearbox stays in place during cornering.
In a 991, dynamic engine mounts makes sense. In a Boxster, dynamic transmission mounts makes sense. OK, the tranmission weighs less than the engine, so the drive train layout makes this of a lesser problem in a Boxster than in a 991 in the first place, but the Porsche engineers have adapted the dynamic mounts logically to the characteristics needed for each model.
With PDK, you get the Launch Control with the Sport Chrono as well. Not exactly necessary, but fun...

The Posrche Driver training I attended today was a great experience, BTW.
It's a new package that the dealer here includes with the purchase of a new Porsche, it's a half day training with professional instructors. It's on a race track, but more intended to make you familiar with the features of the car, such as PASM, PTV, PSM, ABS etc and to make you a safer driver.
It really showed what an awesome car the Boxster is. It performed superbly on the slalom course that was one of the things we did. The balance of the car is amazing and steering feel was very exact and responsive, no negative effect of the new electric steering in that exercise!

No, the way you spec'd this car was awesome! I just couldn't tell because in the picture where the seats are in full sunlight, they almost look gray. I'm also getting the Sports Plus seats in leather and I didn't know how comfortable they were until I sat in them in a dealership.
Thanks so much for these pictures, they really help for those of us who haven't seen one in person.

Thanks for showing the rear spoiler in the up position. Very impressive.
Looks like a great car.
the paddle shifters for the PDK look more user friendly than the 987.
Congratulations.

Really nice. White is the only standard color I didn't see before ordering.
My wife and daughter were sold on the Mahogany/brown/espresso (they had a car in that combo on the lot), so that's what I'm getting in 6-8 weeks.
The white looks great!
