I have a 2015 981 Boxster S with PDK.

Thanks!

I don’t think PSE are easy to get. I love the carnewal exhaust! I may add headers

I'd save your $ and spend it on tires. Very little to no gain for everyday use below 5000 rpm. Very little difference in sound which is already great with what you have (PSE).

Thanks. The PSE is only a year old so changing the tip seemed like an added expense without any dividends. I appreciate your advice.

In case I wasn't clear, I have the PSE already. I paid dearly for it when I purchased the car, (had the dealer install it). I'm just looking to enhance the audio somewhat and hope for a little performance gain. I'm still undecided about a tune at this point.

Thanks for chiming in.

When I added the Carnewal exhaust I added the Fabspeed x-pipe tip. I'm pretty sure it did nothing except take $600 out of my wallet.

2016 981 Spyder. Have catted CarGraphics headers with ceramic coat, bought used from someone on RL. About half MSRP as I recall.

I like them. A little more bass rumble at idle. No drone. Above 4K rpm, much more noticeable.

Worth it? IDK. Ask 10 people, you'll probably get 11 different opinions. Not so sure I'd like them as much if I'd paid MSRP.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve ordered the Soul Headers. Should I wrap them for better heat control?

I alone have about 11 opinions about all of this.

Those are the Gen 2 Fabspeed x-pipe tips, wish mine still looked that pristine clean . I have the Gen 1 version, look more like an X versus the two joined U-tubes.

No such thing as too much heat reduction on these cars. Though very few have wrapped headers, more have invested in the OEM heat shields for the coil packs as they're the weak link on these cars for heat soak

Thanks for the information. I do plan to order the heat shields that you are referring to. During my track sessions and other cooling enhancements I have made I really thought wrapping them was overkill. It seems to me that if they flow better than stock headers then the heat removal would be better and not worse. Thanks again!

I've seen good results and extended longevity on headers when ceramic coated like Swaintech. Way improved heat management and corrosion protection. Anyone here used this on this application? I have experience with it on a turbo where keeping gasses hot improves performance significantly.

I’m curious to know how the ceramic is applied. Is it like powder coating? I wonder if local shops could do this?
