I would get the PSE over sport chrono, unless it was a dedicated track car. Manual mode in sport works very well on the street or track. The PSE sound just adds so much to the experience of hearing the flat 6. Sure you can go aftermarket exhaust but I prefer the PSE.
Can anyone provide any input on this vehicle. It's in excellent shape but I think its overpriced considering the options included. Looks to me to be about 55-58K. Am I crazy or spot on? Any thoughts are appreciated.
It's definitely pristine. He has provided me with an excellent DME report. No ignitions in anything other that range 1. He even did a Facetime call and it's really nice for sure. It just doesn't have some of the more desirable options such as sport seats etc. I'm new to the market but I'm really basing my scale off a recent sale of a pristine 2014 that had plenty of options and a much higher MSRP when new. The link below shows what I'm using as a benchmark.
I think for the cleaner cars with mileage like that, you're probably going to be over the $60k mark in some cases. For example, I paid $65k for a 2016 Cayman S 6-speed with 7k miles two years ago. Mine is a low option car as I was trying to avoid a few things and was able to. I have changed the wheels out and plan to retrofit PSE. It was the correct color combo that I was looking for and original paint, PPF and no front plate, etc. I probably overpaid some, but it was worth it since I can get to where I want to with this car. Here are a couple photos for reference.
CPO is worth something but I agree that >$60k for that is a big ask. A well equipped one it's on the high side but maybe reasonable. IMO at a decade old these are getting into the range where you don't really want a super low mileage car if you want to drive it and not have all the rubber and plastic parts explode.
That's really helpful and a beautiful car too. I guess I'm hung up on the seats to some extent. I really liked the sport seats in my 997 and I feel like I'll miss those if I don't get them. I don't really want to change the seats. I know the PSE can be added for a reasonable amount. I'm also really hung up on Rhodium or Arctic silver. It seems like there are always compromises to some extent when searching. Patience is not one of my strengths. Thanks again!

Thanks for the input. I might could get the price down a little bit, he already offered a $600 reduction due to where he and I live. I do intend to drive the car some and am planning to use it for some HPDE and Autocross a few times a year. I just enjoy driving above the speed limits and feeling what the car was designed to do.
If I am honest for cars that are 8-11 years old I would prefer a car that has a reasonable amount of miles. I feel too low is not necessarily a good thing for a car you want to drive. Sure get low mile for collectors, but for drivers you can save big money with a car with 30-50k miles. These cars are reliable and if the maintenance was done there is no issue buying higher miles. I get it the low mile car is in pristine condition but if you plan on driving it like you should and enjoying it, the rock chips and wear will come. It’s patina and a sign of a good life. Bought a base PDK 2 years ago with 30k miles and have put on 14k going literally nowhere. Just ripping mountain roads and enjoying that flat 6 sound. Put on x73, soul long tube headers and a used PSE. Car sounds and drives amazing for about 55k all in. (Headers are not cheap but worth it)
I agree with all of that. I'm looking at one tomorrow that is a 2014 981 S with 39K on the clock. It checks mostly all the boxes except PSE which I plan to have installed after purchase. Thanks for the feedback!
