I recently purchased a Cobb Accessport for my 2015 Cayman to put in a stage 1 93 tune. It had some of the V200 maps pre loaded, however they aren't compatible for my ECU. I have downloaded the V400 maps from the Cobb site (these are the Greenspeed maps) and it found compatible maps and loaded fine. This V400 map package shows about 50-60 different ECU's for the same car, but the V200's I have are only for two different ECU numbers, and both are greyed out.
I am thinking the older V200 maps will make more power as they are pre-CARB certification. The V400 feels like an improvement in my car but wondering if there is more on the table. Would anyone have complete V200 files for a 981S from Cobb kicking around? Or from experience, can anyone tell me if I am good to go with the V400's and the V200 isn't worth it?
The main benefit of the older maps is that the stage2 map will turn off the CEL from headers (sport cats/race headers), but the newer maps are supposed to be more refined.

@Cosmo Kramer When you say the V400 feels like an improvement please elaborate. I am on the fence about buying this tuner for my new 981S. Thx
Engine feels more responsive, smoother delivery down low and pulls a bit harder at higher revs. I went onto an online chat today, and Cobb says the Stage 1 V200/V400 maps are basically the same. Here's what they said:
"There were no changes with the map it's self, but the software we use to create the maps. Since the software had to update, the maps had to be resaved after the software was updated for them to still flash to the vehicle. That Stage 1 OTS map is an upgraded stock map that our calibrators made to get the most performance out of the factory stock map while still being within safe parameters for engine health and longevity."
I have read great things about Softronic and FVD, but with Cobb you can remove it from the car and sell the tuner afterwards. The others you can't do that.

Hello,
Appreciate this is an old post but I have just picked up a Cobb accessport and of course only has the V4.00 tune. Interested in obtaining the old V2 map. Link shared in this post seems to be V400 maps. Anyone know where I might get them? Thanks in advance.
I thought Cobb in their settlement with the EPA agreed to recall and refund all of the Stage 2 tunes? Even if you get the tune from someone I doubt the Accessport would let you load it. You might want to call Cobb to find out. I have a Stage 1 on my 2013 Boxster S. I feel most of the improvement at the top end. I gained 5 mph (140) at the end of the Summit Point main straightaway.
