The season opener for AutoX with my local PCA chapter is Saturday, so I wanted to get my alignment taken care of (I haven't noticed any problems with uneven tire wear or pulling, but when I had new snows put on my 18" wheels a while back, Discount Tire checked the alignment and told me a bunch of values were out of range. I asked them if they could do an alignment for me and they said they couldn't because they didn't have the right tools to work on Porsches).
So I took it to a place called Performance Alignment that advertises in our local PCA chapter magazine (I've asked around at C&Cs and a number of members have brought their cars there and were happy with them). I didn't really know what to expect, price-wise, and I was a bit surprised when I went to pick it up that it was $390 ($345 plus shop supplies and tax).
I'm assuming they did a good job, because of their good reputation with other P-car owners that I know (and, chatting with the owner yesterday, I found out that about half the guys that work there are into Auto X, track and road racing events), but does that price seem high to you, or is that about the going rate for an "aggressive street/occasional track" alignment?
That’s a normal Indy price. I know a guy at mavis and it has the X73 package in the computer so I paid $108 for mine. But it was a street alignment. I got as much camber as I could up front by moving the struts inward with the slotted strut tower. I forgot the numbers but I think it was -1.3 and -1.4.

Wow! Amazingly low price for that close to the city (I'm assuming the Rockland County location is current). Never heard of Mavis, but our family moved out of Greater NYC when I was still a kid...
Are you paying $3-400 for alignment with LCAs or are you still on stock suspension?
On my stock BS, Firestone charges $125 and will do either OE (-0.5) or track (-1.5) camber, whichever I ask for. On my track GR86, a local speed shop charges $180 but that usually involves several adjustments. Same Hunter laser racks at both places.
