Anybody Have Experience with Falken or Nitto Performance Tires on a Spyder?
Just got back from a DE and my tires are toast. I'm currently running PS4's, but don't want to spend the $1600 and change that it would cost to put a set of 4 on the Spyder. Tire Rack shows that Falken Azenis FK510's and Nitto NT555 G2's are both Ultra High Performance tires. Anybody got experience with these tires or other cheaper alternatives to the OE rubber?

Falken
I use Falken on a 981S. This might be different than a Spyder. I love the performance, the grip, and the comfort level. I have driven them about 5k so far. They are a great value so far. By the way, I came from Pirelli P0 tires before the Falkens.

Without a camber adjustment at least to the front you will wear out the left edge of any tire on the track. PS4S are great ultra performance summer tires that can be driven on the track, but are not true track tires.. It is a balance between the number of street miles and track mile on how much negative camber. It is common to have a dedicated set of wheels and 200TW tires for DE.

For DE you want to look at Extreme Performance Tires. Falken R660, Hankook RS4 would be my top choises. Proper alignmnt is important. As much camber as possible. If more than 15 track days a year then Front adjustable LCAa and rear toe links are recommeded.

Had the nittos on the car when I bought it. Good lateral grip but found they had less longitudinal grip under braking and especially under acceleration. But totally fine for daily driving and dry canyon driving.
