PDK Engagement Question
Question: If car is cold (engine/transmission etc), when I start it and put in reverse, it seems to take 4 to 5 seconds for the pdk to be fully engaged. By 'engaged', as an example, when I put my Chevy truck in reverse, boom, it is reversing. On the 981, only when cold, it just takes a few seconds, then it's fine. Is this normal? Assume when engine/pdk are 'woken up', pdk fluid needs to be pumped up internally and a certain pressure reach; just my guess. Car has 40K miles
The PDK was serviced by the PO. Fluid and filter. A URO servicable transmision pan was installed at that time; FEBI Blistien fluid was used.
thanks for any info
You will notice this somewhat as well if you floor the throttle from a dead stop. There will be a brief delay before the car actually takes off, but this won't happen if the car is already moving, even just a small amount because things are already fully engaged.
