Default Wheel Chip

Noticed this the other day while cleaning. Short of replacing the wheel, any ideas on how to address this? At minimum, I'd like to stop it from getting worse, but I'd prefer to fix it cosmetically. Thanks.

Get it repaired. Should only cost ~100 bucks. I would call your local dealer and see if they have a mobile wheel repair guy they use. They will sand it down and match the paint.

Had a similar chip and struggled to get a wheel shop to quote me for reconditioning, but am mulling a wheel change or colour change at some point. Anyway, it was annoying me so I did a DIY repair. Sanded back with ascending grades, a little bit of wheel putty to bring it level, then rattle can prime paint and lacquer.

Result? It's not bad. Colour match is pretty bang on, and you have to get really really close/examine in detail to spot it. To the casual observer it's invisible. I know it's there, and I will sort it properly, but for now it's acceptable. Couple hours work only 👌

Exactly the type of fix i was thinking of, thanks. If it looks good and lasts, that may be the end of it, otherwise will try the wheel repair suggestion.

I would do what Tango did, unless you wanted to change color.
