Default Dundon headers and CA smog

Hi all,

I am new to CA and am considering buying an out of state 981 GT4 that has the below exhaust mods:
  1. Dundon Race Headers
  2. Dundon GT3 exhaust conversion with cats
  3. Dundon Cobb tune
Does anyone know if this would be able to pass smog? It has the 200 cell cats but unsure if that meets emissions requirements. Also unsure of visual inspection etc.

Thanks in advance.

This will not pass smog in CA for two reasons.
Smog tests now test software levels...w the Cobb tune present, it will fail.
Next, CA smog laws require no change of emissions related equipment...your headers and "cats" are both not CA smog legal, and I have not seen that Dundon has a CARB approval.

thanks for the info Bruce, so I guess I would have to either:
  • Use Cobb tuner to flash back to stock
  • put back stock headers and exhaust for test and then put aftermarket back on after test

OR
  • Find a smog guy in SD (if anyone knows one please PM me )
