I finally signed up after being in read only mode for the last four years. I have a 2015 Cayman, starting last week when I start the car the ignition switch stays in the start position. I turn the fob so the switch is in the run position and all is well. Not a big deal but it is annoying. Wondering if anyone has a solution other than a new switch and recoding.

My first step would be to spray some DeOxit D5 into the switch. This stuff is pretty awesome and I have used it to fix sticky switches.
Both keys? I already have a can of CRC electronic contact cleaner from Walmart and would use that first followed by a tiny bit of graphite lock ease on key. DeOxit D5 is advertised as more than just a contact cleaner. If you have Amazon Prime $16.99.
Thanks for the replys guys. I tried the second key and it worked. The grooves in the key I normally use were filled with fluff from my pocket. Four seconds of cleaning with a toothpick and all was good. How often is the solution that simple. Thanks so much for the suggestion Kitch I never would have thought of it.
