Hey rock-rf: The Carvana process was great. Delivery was on-time and the car looked as good/better than it did in the ad.

The inspection uncovered some issues: leaking rear strut/shock (I forget which it is on these cars), potentially bad PCM, and a few other minor/cosmetic things. I had confidence that Carvana would take care of these things if I wanted, but these combined with the features/options being a compromise on what I wanted made me decide to return the vehicle. It also was the first Porsche I'd driven for more than a 10-min test-drive, so I was able to get a better feel for what aspects/features are important to me vs which I don't mind as much if they're missing.

I'm back on the search again, I really need to go drive one of the 718's: After driving turbocharged 4-cylinders in one form or another the past 15+ years I think it would be an easy transition (the flat-6 surprised me with how much power it outputs at higher RPMs, I had forgotten how N/A engines are meant to be driven). My biggest "not sure" is PDK vs manual, but if I was able to find the right combo in either I think I'd go for it at this point.

Hope your delivery gets sorted soon!

Well I picked up my new-to-me 2019 Boxster GTS this past Thursday over in North Carolina. I was able to visit some family nearby-ish in Georgia, then head on home to Arizona. Total states visited were: North to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and good ol' Arizona.

All shined up the day I got her

Georgia sure is a lovely place

Nice ride!
I bought my 2014 manual base Cayman on Carvana in January. They agreed to pay for 2 issues I found in a PPI at an indy Porsche shop- dry rot tires and warped door cards. The OEM Goodyear Eagles were backordered but they agreed to substitute Michelin PS4s. The door cards were sent to Pedro in Florida through a European car specialist I found in their network (you have to use someone in their pre approved network-most are Pep Boys). They also dealt with the tire issue. The mechanic really had to fight with Carvana, especially about the door cards, but they relented because Pedro had some kind of accreditation.

Congrats and good luck!
