Default VIN Sticker Locations

I'm slightly concerned that mine only has one on the passenger side door frame and not the drivers side. Mine is a CPO with a clean Carfax, but I guess you never know for sure.

I think the location of that style sticker is consistent. The 991 also has one on the inside edge of the engine lid, can't recall for the 981, but probably one there too. The 2 locations that are most important are under windshield on the drivers side and under the carpet flap in front of the passenger seat etched in the chassis.

I do have stickers on the hood and trunk. Didn't know about the VIN being etched into the chassis.

I'm more concerned about the missing sticker on the drivers side door frame.

No sticker on that location on drivers side. Instead it should be near the rear quarter panel in the door jamb, where the door latch is, but on the chassis. Also, a $150 paint meter from Amazon is a great investment for any future car purchasing.

I don't think it's missing. I no longer own my 981, but my 991 lacks that sticker on the drivers side also.

This ^^^
My 2014CS also has the vin in the location of the OP on the passenger side and on the drivers side the vin is on the tag by the latch which also includes the date of manufacture and tire pressure. Maybe it would be redundant to have the second vin tag on the drivers side??? I also have the vin tag on the frunk and trunk lid as well as the mandatory dash/windshield.
