Hey thank you for doing this. This car just popped up for sale on Carmax and I got super excited, but googling the VIN led me here and saved me some heartache.

That’s a flesh wound. For the right price it’s a non issue as long as the alignment and subframe have no issues.

But for the price you had paid it is unacceptable. Good call for you.

I'm pretty sure that requires replacing the front tub. That's anything but a flesh wound.

replacing for cosmetic or function. As I said if the alignment and subframe are not damaged the drivability should be fine. With these things the only way to tell is to open it up and look at everything. You may find more issues. Definitely right thing to walk, just saying at the right price it may be just fine.
