Default Help with Diagnostic Codes

So my Autel AP200 arrived and was surprised to see the following codes when I ran the initial scan. A little background, I have a 2013 BB 6sp Manual with 46k miles. The car runs absolutely perfect with no CEL or any issues whatsoever. So, needless to say, I was surprised to see the following codes:

1. P0306 - Misfire, cylinder 6 (Lower limit value exceeded). No drivability issues noted

2. 00A221 - Warning: Doors / front lid open when driving. Seriously? I obviously don't drive with any of these not securely latched.

3. 000021 - Drive away release, not available. Parking brake releases as designed when driving away.

I am still under CPO, so I'm not too concerned. But, I am slightly concerned the dealer may just reset the codes and brush me off.

Thoughts?

How long have you had the car. I bought mine in Jan 2021 and had the P0306, and 00A221 code as you.

After clearing those code, and almost 5,000 miles they did not come back.

Interesting.

About 14 months. What year and how many miles are on yours? Have you replaced your coils?

2014, 23k when I bought the car. Now at 28k. The coils and plugs were replaced by previous owner a few months before I bought the car.

Thx for the info. Since I'm still under CPO, I'm going to have the dealer look at it.

For what it's worth, I just had P0306 two weekends ago at the track. Wound up replacing cylinder 6 ignition coil and I'm back in business. Relatively easy repair.

The coils and plugs are one thing I am NOT looking fwd to replacing. I've seen countless video's, and it looks like a major pain.

I've replaced the 5 & 6 coils and did the plugs twice for 40K and 80K mile service. Save for the scrapes on my forearms from the sharp edges on the cat heat shield, it was really not that bad. You just need a good set of wobble extensions.

Honestly, it was easier than the rear 3 plugs on my wife's old Chrysler T&C. Now that was a PITA.

I definitely need a good set of wobble extensions...as I have none.

Harbor Freight is your friend (if you have one nearby).

If you plan to do any tracking, I also recommend installing the 991 heat shields. I really don't know why these were not included on the 981 from the factory. IMHO, the 981 is worse for coil heat than the 991. Due to the more compact headers, the cats sit much closer to the coils.

Harbor Freight...great suggestion. And I do have one about 25 minutes away.

No...don't track, so not too worried about the heatshields.
