Sport and Sport Plus with Manual Transmission
I’m considering a 981 after years of owning older manual transmission 911s. Can somebody explain to me what the Sport and Sport Plus buttons do in a 981 with a manual transmission? For my Cayenne with an auto trans it holds the gear longer at a minimum. That wouldn’t seem to apply with a manual transmission.

Three Wheelin'
Auto blip, less intrusive PSM, stiffer settings for motor and trans mounts (PADM), different throttle map, turns on PSE, turns on stiffer PASM if equipped. IMO the largest benefit from SC is the Sport and Sport+ higher rev and firmer shifting for the PDK. Less intrusive PSM is probably second especially if you track the car.

Even in cars without PSE, like mine (albeit with an FVD exhaust), sport and sport + induce a fantastic pop and gurgle off throttle, so it adjusts fuel mapping/timing as well to let a little bit of fuel into the exhaust system. I would imagine this minutely impact fuel economy. Worth it obviously. Sounds glorious.

The chrono itself is joke. All of the other benefits outlined above are highly desirable, and will have a positive impact on value as these cars age. This might be especially true of a MT car.
