Hi all,

I'm coming up on 8 years on my '14 Cayman S. At 4 years I had the dealer perform the service and assumed the coolant was changed at that time. Reviewing the receipt from that service, it appears that didn't happen. I'm now considering using an independent to do the 8 year service (dealer quoted $2K) and going thru my maintenance book, I see no recommendation to change the coolant at any time/mileage. It just says "coolant: check level and antifreeze". Is there no actual change interval these days unless the antifreeze capability has diminished to some threshold? Mine is a street-driven car at 45K miles.

Porsche says the coolant is "lifetime". The coolant manufacturer says 5 years / 150k miles. Personally I do the latter.

Just received a new to me '14 CS and I get a low coolant message when the the car is cold. What antifreeze should I use to top it off?

I use only OEM Porsche coolant in my car.
