Being with only 1600 miles, Manual GTS and the rare color combo (internal is Lime Gold / Aggate Gray) i had to acquire plus i am big fan of 981 body. Enjoyed more than my 718 Spyder. Now will be a good companion for my B7 RS4 which is another unicorn.
The Rennbow site offers up the information below on years of availability.
Nice finding. Could really well be. The painted mirrors were part of the build as well as the black 20” wheels and the interior looks like to be same as well. Plus the dealership looks like to be in LA, CA where this car was originally sold. All boxes checked. Thanks for finding!!
Drove out to Eureka Springs for a wedding this weekend. Now I wish I had gone to Palooza so I booked my room for 2024 after driving highway 23 all the way south back to I40 heading home. Buddy who got married just picked up that GT4RS a week ago.
However, I have to disagree (a little bit) with the final score card. Considering the source, I'm assuming those scores are actually very good.
So I touched 'em up a smidgeon.
Here's my rationale:
Car Show:
Yeah the "Car Show" is very subjective, but they skipped over the all important dynamic-aero wing feature.
This is a coolness factor unmatched by any other car in its class that adds to the hotness of the overall look of the car.
Also, its a Porsche. At first glance, 99% of all people know its a Porsche and automatically give it Porsche cred and prestige.
Daily Driver:
When I got my Base Cayman I said the first upgrade was going to be the "sports steering wheel" with paddles.
Once I hit the groove driving the PDK in manual mode upshifting with the stick and downshifting by pulling back on the slider shift buttons, it felt very natural to drive in hybrid/dual-clutch mode and control those sweet revs.
Feels natural and still provides a manual-vibe.
Then I discovered how practical the slider shift buttons are driving while drinking a morning coffee. Making it perfectly fine without the paddles.
It's SO practical as a daily driver.
Road Trip:
I think I'm Ok with the 8.5 score.
Fun Factor:
An 8.5?! What!? On the streets, canyons and mountain roads the Base Cayman is close to the most fun anyone could have driving a car.
It only lacks in low end torque.

That was my position for years. You can find any number of posts written by me on here and P9, telling people to stop worrying and love the buttons. "They're fine, don't feel bad if you had to give up paddles to get the MF wheel."
Yeeeeah, this was wrong. The buttons suck. If you have an original MF wheel and an upgrade is within your budget, do it.
Seriously. It's like getting a brand new car for $3000. The buttons are AWFUL. Those who said as much were right all along, and I was wrong.
