Or am I one of the few that didn't know
That THE BOTTOM POINTED END OF THE CREST ON A WHEEL CENTER IS "SUPPOSED" TO BE POINTED AT THE VALVE !!

From the dealership: If your car has the locking lug bolts, the pointed end of the crest should point directly at the locking lug bolt to make it much easier to find. The locking lug bolt should be used directly in line with the valve stem -- or directly opposite the valve stem on the other side of the wheel. (Depending upon where you've used the locking lug bolt -- it does not directly line up for all locations on a wheel.)

If your car doesn't have the locking lug bolt, just point it towards the valve stem.

Yes, it is a Porsche law that cannot be violated without severe repercussions.

It should always be pointed toward the valve. No exceptions.

Or...Just remove the locking lug, trash it and replace it with a regular lug. Then, if you ever have to change a tire, you can start anywhere you want.
