This has nothing to do with stop-sale or shortages but the overall data is fantastic.

I'm happy for the 981 GTS owners out there, but have never understood this crazy premium that the 981 GTS has been demanding for the last couple years. Anywhere from 10-15K+ considering its just a trim package option and unlike the new 4.0, not a different car at all? You can get a similar equipped S with the same motor and then spend 5K on headers and a tune and end up with a 30HP advantage over the GTS and walk away with essentially the same car plus at least 5K or more in your pocket, or at least you could until last year when all this craziness started and the prices on both the base and S started climbing

^ All of your points are correct, and very logical/factual. Cars like the 981 and especially the GTS version are not a logical choice, they are an emotional one. You know what happens when logic and emotion come together..emotion usually wins

This has been going on for more than year and is the same reason that the housing supply is way below demand and prices skyrocketing.

Then the chip shortage which all manufacturers needs for their new cars and the stop sale campaign is giving another 2-3 punch to a brand that doesnt build millions of car each year like the other makers do, so an already small pond has been overfished with very little new stock becoming available. Now is the time to sell if you are thinking about it. These cars are getting snatched up almost instantly lately as many are having to shop the entire US and have them shipped to them just to get a chance at something
I got my 2015 CGTS, $100k msrp build sheet, PTV, PDK, X73, 27.5k miles, in late feb for $61.3k. Got it shipped from AZ to WA for $1300 enclosed trailer which seems like a steal. Glad I pulled the trigger on this car when I did as there are virtually no S or GTS 981 Caymans for sale. Finding PTV was key for me
