With my 981 destined for the foreseeable future to rest in my driveway when not driven rather than in covered parking, I'm looking for recommendations for an outdoor cover. I live in Maryland where we have some hot summers. a fair amount of rain, a bit of snow, and occasional hail. And my car is near trees so the birds do their thing on the car sometimes. My criteria/priorites for a cover would be, from most important to least important:
1. Do no harm. A soft cover that is least likely to scratch or leave spots on the paint;
2. Beat the heat. Keep the car cool (it will be in the sun part of each day), to avoid advancing the door panel warping;
3. Protect against some dents. A bit of padding to protect against small hail;
4. Discourage theft of the cover. The ability to secure the cover with a cable to discourage theft.
I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

Also in MD, my mom's neighbor turned me on to "Car Covers Direct". They have different covers for different purposes. He uses (2) cover approach. An indoor cover for dirt, the 2nd outdoor cover for sun/rain, for his GT3. I have yet to order...procrastinating as I debate keeping my GT4.

I have an OEM Porsche outdoor cover for my 981 - https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...UaAuAVEALw_wcB
It's nice but I never use it.
