How To Mount A Spare In The Frunk

I made a "permanent" mount for a 986/996 spare in the frunk of my 987. Here is the link to the how to I posted in the other Cayman forum.

Before telling me you have an AAA card, my spare came in handy two times
1. When I was the caboose on a club tour, we were 7 miles from cell service, in the mountains and a rock cut the sidewall of the car in front of me.
2. On my way to the track a 951 had a major blowout on a one year old rear tire. We were within cell service, but if it blew out about two miles later he wouldn't have been. We put my spare on and it rolled easily on to the flatbed instead of on a Fuchs. 951 and Fuchs, yes.

Agreed. AAA does not fix unrepairable flats, and the nearest tire shop or Porsche dealer either won't have your tire in stock or they will be closed.
You got the right idea by carrying a spare tire.
