I have 50%, state law limit, on the GTS mostly due to the UV protection plus it looks nice. I also am pretty religious on using a windshield cover when parked in the sun. I very seldom leave the top down when parked more than a few minutes. The 50% isn’t too dark so it’s not very noticeable the few times I have the windows up with the top down.

Go for a high end but light tint. It'll cut nearly all the UV, and a surprising amount of heat. I have my windshield on my Cayman tinted with 3M Crystalline 90%, and formerly Huper Optik Klar (before a rock off a dump truck destroyed it). I could feel an obvious difference in heat transmission for the couple days between when I had the new windscreen installed, and having it tinted.

I had my windows and windshield tinted and here in TX the difference in heat was dramatic. After this experience I think I'll get the windshield tinted in any future vehicles I own. 8.5.78.5.7
