981 Tire/Wheel Size Question

Hello everyone,
I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first P-car: a CPO 2014 Black Cayman. However, I'm located in the Northern Virginia area, and as much as I'm itching to take the car for a spin, I haven't been able to because the car has 18" Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) summer tires on it (two 235/45/18 and two 265/45/18 according to dealer service records). This has motivated me to start looking for a winter wheel and tire set. I found someone local selling the following wheel/tire set online:
BBS SR 18x8 (50mm offset) and 18x10 (41mm offset) wheels with Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II 235/40R-18 and 265/40R-18 tires
While I am learning, I am not a car guy and am a little confused if these wheels will fit on my 981 Cayman. I would greatly appreciate and help or insight the community can give me, and my apologies if this question has been asked before. (I've been frantically Googling for the past hour!)
Thank you!

Yes those will work. They are approx. 1" shorter in height than your other set so you'll have 1/2" more fender gap and 1/2" lower ride height, but they are the right front/rear ratio for the PSM/ABS.
(of course assuming Porsche bolt pattern)

This site is really helpful to check offsets and tire sizes, I entered the front ones for you and you should be fine, but they will poke out 7mm further than stock. That shouldn't be an issue I was running 7mm spacers on my car and had no issues with rubbing and you will have extra clearance with the lower profile tire.

Yup, the new placement is actually closer to optional S wheels, so it's good to also know where the optional wheels for your car place the clearance for the look you want. Imho, his new offset numbers are an improvement.

Actually looking at the offsets on the rear that's a really great fitment for a Cayman. I would have a tire shop put the winter tires on the stock rims, and then put something more meaty on the BBS wheels, especially since its 10" wide rim in the rear which lets you move up to some of the wider tires that the 9.5 stock width wont fit.

Just my $0.02 and I am a LOT less experienced with Porsches than many others on here (good move joining the group):
I would keep the 18s that came with the car and put some winter/all season tires on those (in VA- unless you are actually going to drive the car through ice/snow all seasons are fine). Then I would use the “off season” here to peruse the marketplace on here, EBay, SunCoast parts, etc for a nice set of 19s or 20s for the rest of the year. They will fill out the wheel wells a little better, and I would also ditch the Pirellis and get a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires for that new set of wheels.
Edit: quick search found these OEM beauties

Michelin Pilot Sport High Performance All Season 4 tires come in the OEM sizes for the 18" rims. Good tires for year round use for street driving.
If you wish to track your car, get a second set of rims for track only tires. The Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4's should meet your street driving needs![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)

Thank you for all the advice, everyone! I wound up going through with the sale for the BBS wheel set because I was able to get it for a good price and the seller was local. Upon seeing these BBS wheels though, it’s made me want to save them for my summer set as Four Ring Circus was saying.
Either way, I am getting the BBS wheels with winter tires swapped out this morning so I can finally take my new beauty for a ride...I’ll be sure to update everyone with pics after the wheels are installed! I really appreciate all the advice. I am just getting into this world and it is truly heartwarming to see how helpful everyone in this community is. Thanks!

I can’t speak to the 987 but I am pretty sure 981 base Cayman comes with 18s base and 19 optional while Cayman S comes with 19 base and 20 option. Which is why I suggested going plus 1 with the summer tire set.

Just looked it up and your sizes are factory spec. I was just surprised at the taller sidewall on a newer car.
To your question - I'll echo the previous comments that they will be slightly shorter but will be okay.
