Default Noisy intake Fan

Noticed that driver side fan is getting a little noisy.....Anyone have experience with this or is this a known issue?
Car is a 2014 Boxster S with 8500 Miles. Thanks

Is it RPM dependent? Can you hear it while driving?

It's leaf season and I had a leaf get stuck on the fan blade in the driver's side and it sounded like I had a playing card in my bicycle spoke. If you shine a flashlight up the vent behind the door, you'll see two passageways. One up towards the rear of the car towards the air intake, and one farther forward that's more perpendicular to the bodywork. I don't know what that goes to, but if someone does I'd like to know (oil cooler? shot in the dark). That's where my leaf was stuck. I fished it out with a pencil with some double sided tape wrapped around the end since I did it on my lunch break at work so I wouldn't have to hear it or worry about it on the drive home. Maybe check that first. I have a '14 Cayman S, 29k miles

Thanks PJLaud for the feedback. It is not speed dependent and is a constant speed. I did look into the openings but at first glance did not see anything but will take a closer look

Yep, most likely a leaf or debris. That is exactly why we created the side intake mesh screens for the 981 Boxsters and Caymans (created them for the 718 as well!) Within 2 weeks of having our Cayman we had a noise in the side intake tract. Of course I fear the worst, but it was only a leaf. Never again with the side intake mesh screens!!

I am hoping that to be the case but not what I found so far. Screens will be going on for sure but need to get this solved first.
