2 weeks ago I picked up my first Porsche - '14 Boxster S. (MT, PSE, Full Leather, that's about it.)
I was craving a light sports car with a MT, this will definitely do the job.
I'll be doing some track days and have already done some research on recommended mods (Thanks for all the great posts on this topic).
I've already done a few minor tweaks:
Clear LED side markers
Clear wind guard
Porsche spec rubber floor mats
Bluetooth Audio Adapted - Unfortunately it has the base radio. I'll be determining if i can make the stock head unit work for my needs/desires.
Couple more things planned, but first is getting rid of the clear bra that is yellowing.
Thanks for all the insights I was able to use during my purchase planning. This is a great forum.
The 981 will be my summer car. '09 Audi S5 has been my go-to, but now she's kicked out of the garage and getting jealous. Sorry for the Audi pic on a Porsche forum. Sin of pride.
Here's the new girl and old girl.
Thanks to all for the help so far.

No PASM, and I hate to admit, that I'm not sure about x73 option either.
I think it's stock (for now).
I bought it 2 weeks ago, drove it home 1,000 miles, and then we got almost a foot of snow, so haven't even crawled underneath it yet.
I think the angle on the pic is deceiving though. It's got a pretty decent gap in the wheel well.
Thanks
It's definitely the no frill suspension from the pictures. This isn't a bad thing! I just took delivery of mine (987.2) with the no option suspension and although the ride and handling are fantastic, I just can'r deal with the gap. My Ohlins will be one this week though to fix this The base suspension isn't too stiff/harsh at all and lets you still feel what the car is doing.

Looks like too much fender gap for X73 (sport suspension), which was the lowest suspension option available. Suncoast Parts (Florida) usually have good deals on X73 kits. Having a base suspension means you can upgrade, unlike with PASM. You get new springs, anti-roll bars, and shocks. All these parts work perfectly in concert to deliver the best street sport suspension you can ask for which isn't a tall order since it was engineered to be that. Taut without any negative drawbacks. Basically gives you the stock suspension of the 987 and 981 Spyders, and 987 Cayman R which are known for their track prowess as well.

Is this Porsche of the Village in Cincinnati ? I used to live there and bought my first Porsche from them as well. Great car! congrats!
Thanks for the summary on the suspension options. Am leaning toward the X73, but actually want to get some track time first to have a feel for the stock set up and hopefully justify the spend with before & after impressions.
Yes is was from Porsche of the Village. They were good to work with . I was able to manage everything remotely, even a test drive by a friend in the area.
