Default 981 BS Rear Window Element Broken

Hi all!

Car was just renewed with another 2 years of extended warranty and then my rear window heater decided to stop working. Took it into the dealership and they ended up replacing the entire control unit (part code 98165320308 I believe)

So while testing it they found that one of the wires in the window that demist / defrost isn't working. So they are now escalating it to see if that can be replaced under warranty as that would require a whole new roof.

1. How likely would this be approved? It would be amazing as the wear on the roof is a bit annoying and the weather stripping is aging.
2. If it's declined what can I do, fight it or find a specialist to replace it?

If it was the top "wire" or bottom that would be okay as it doesn't impact sight out the back... it's the middle one so now on a cold morning (which is most of time where I live) my visibility is even worse than normal.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks
