Doug, I know this is an old thread, but I was hoping to find out how you got the back bolts of your seat out. Mine is also stuck in the rearward position and I cannot move it after a similar cockpit flood. Thanks. Also sent you a PM.

Responded to your pm. I powered the seat by removing the plug from the seat motor and powering it from a battery charger to supply the power. I had a wiring diagram for the seat, and used it to determine where to apply power to. I don't recall where on the internet I got the diagram from.

Thanks, Doug. Just to clarify your seat options, does your car have seat memory? So, did you add external power at the +/- prongs of the yellow plug, or did you mean you connected at the actual motor itself? I read on Rennlist that the memory seats get their power from the memory module.

I wish I could be more detailed for you but it was a few years ago and I just don't remember all the details. I want to say that I powered the motor itself but I can't be 100% certain. I think I remember having to change polarity on the leads to get the motor to run in the direction I needed it to go.
