Brighter Reverse Light Bulbs
When I back up (reverse) my MY94 968 up my driveway at night I can't see a thing - seems as if there are no reverse lights. A couple of nights ago I asked my son to put the car into reverse gear while I was standing behind it. Two very faint lights came on towards the inside of the two clusters- so there are bulbs in the rear light clusters that pretend to be reverse lights but as they are they don't illuminate anything
I am looking for advice/suggestions as to what light bulbs to get to replace the two faint bulbs that are currently in there? Do any particular LEDs hold out promise?
I know that the purpose of reverse lights is firstly for other road users to see when you are about to reverse, however all my other cars' reverse lights are bright enough for me to see where I am going when I reverse up my drive away.
Thank you in advance.
PS I posted the following message on the other 968 site but my post did not solicit any solutions so I decided to try the same question here.

Burning Brakes
I would open up the housings and:
1. check to see if the right bulb is installed,
2. the bulb has full voltage across it,
3. the socket is not corroded,
4. the bulbs are still clear and not black inside.
LEDS are nice but a plain old light bulb can work pretty well.
PS. Check the other bulb(s) operation also.

Thank you all for your advice. Will let you know what I find when I open the lights up and whether I replace with incandescent bulbs or LED and what the effect end up being.
