The 993 headlights look great and practical on the 968, also no moving parts.
Wonder why the factory didn't go that route?
P.S. Maybe they wanted to better optically differentiate the 968 from the 993?

When working on 993:s and 968:s it is evident how close the two cars are in panel fitment in the front. I guess it is here Porsche really started to design their different models to look in a similar fashion which all models are nowdays.

That your car and the Roadster Prototype both look nice!!
The D9 fenders don't look tall enough to comfortably accommodate the 993 headlamps as they are BIGGG.
BUT, you can reduce them in size to make 'em fit the shorter fenders.
I chose the natural 993 higher risers, as i think that look is badass, and in theory, creates a little more down-force.
Amazing how many times i stop in a Quicktrip gas n puke place or whatnot
and people are doing a walkaround on the car, wonderin' just what the hell it is.
They do that with the regular 968's of course but the hideous 928 lights just make em say,
"hey i know what your Porschhhhhhh is; it's a 928 like from that Tom Cruise movie!"
"See, i know my '80's cars."

So now we know both your approach and mine with the D9 fenders work as a 993 headlight conversion 👍

Wondering out loud if any of the newer 911 variants (991, 997, etc..) have lower profile lights that may fit better without extreme mods. All the talk is about fitting 993 style lights but after reading OD & Peders posts there is clearly much mods needed because the lights just cant aim low enough. Some of the newer 911 lights seem to have lower profile fenders like the 968 ??? The lights are fairly expensive for sure even used and practically precludes buying and messing around....you just need to have access to some used ones to have a look... Anybody tried any of the newer variant lights ?
