I'm putting the airbox back on after fixing a couple things and I can't figure out the secret way to get the rubber mounts back on?

I'm talking about the pointy rubber pieces that go on both sides of the box on the end closest to the cabin.

They are mounted to the airbox right now but I can't see how to squeeze the bottom part through the mounting hole on the bracket.

Any insight on how to install them?

I put the airbox in place with the rubber mounts sitting on their respective holes, then I take a plastic body panel "spudge" and push into the slot around the circumference of the rubber, pushing that slot down and into place. Do that on three or four places around the rubber piece, and it will eventually pop into place.

that is what I was going to try next but didn't want to try it only to find out there was an easier way or you shouldn't do it like that.

I lubed mine up with a bit of silicone grease - popped right in...
