Aternatives to a Vario Cam
Out with finding a replacement, is there anyway i can put this engine back in service with out the Variocam system?
Are there any other tensioners from a 944 or other system that will work?

I haven't tried it, but I'd guess that a 944 S2 tensioner setup would work. You'd of course give up the benefits of variable cam timing. Is it really that hard to find a Variocam gizmo?
