Anyone have a picture of a wheel speed sensor installed?
My ABS light is on, and I've heard one common cause of this is a bad/incorrectly connected wheel speed sensor. Could someone please post a picture of how the front wheel speed sensors are supposed to be connected? I'm wondering if I put mine back incorrectly when I put the brakes back on. Thanks.

I'm taking the wheels off and putting the car up on jackstands first thing in the morning tomorrow (taking them into the shop to flip the tires to even out the shoulder wear). I'll take photos then. If I haven't posted anything by lunchtime, you can prod me with a text message. 305-904-3848.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I don't have my car at the moment (it's at the shop getting the roll bar installed and the alignment/corner balance done), so I won't be able to compare what you have to mine, but my ABS light wasn't on before I took my suspension apart, so I assume it's caused by something I did or failed to do. Hopefully it's something as simple as a mis-connected wire...

This should cover the wiring all the way from the sensor to where the wire goes into the wheel well. If you want to see the original photos full size, they are
/.
Hope that helps.

I finally got my car back fro the shop (had to order a new fuel line, as my inlet had sprung a leak, and then take it to the shop to install it), and got some time to look at the, and I found where the ABS sensor plugs in. The unit it plugs into attaches to the stock strut, but I've replaced my struts with Moton Clubsports, which don't have a similar attachment point, so I had tucked the cylindrical connector that the ABS sensor connects to back behind the fender liner. Now I just need to find an alternate mounting location for the connector.

I believe when I removed the actual sensors, I found that they were magnetic and had gathered rust flakes and other magnetic debris. Blew them off with compressed air and reinstalled. It didn't fix anything, but they needed cleaning anyway.

Started the car yesterday, and confirmed that the ABS light is now out. Thanks again for all the help with this. So other than the third brake light, which stopped working shortly before I started my project, all the lights, gauges, and other electrical devices that I've kept are working! Definitely a good feeling I (and one I probably shouldn't get too used to!)
