2nd! I don't have any plans of using it much less removing it. I have not idea how many years it has been since it was last opened and it scares me to try.

I had my sunroof off after it had quit working. One corner would not pull down. At that point I assumed that it was one of the nylon sprockets, so I removed the sunroof. Under close examination I discovered that all the OEM plastic hinges were in various stages of uselessness due to cracks. I replaced all the broken bits with parts that are made of metal. If I remember, I got them from Automotion. May have been Rennline. At any rate, the sunroof works now but I keep it closed anyway. And for what it's worth, my car came with a sunroof bag.

Sorry, the link was messed up (fixed now). I can assure you that they are there and you can download them. There are manuals for many other Porsche models there as well (including the 928s).

Thanks, they are there now. I can assure you that they were removed in the past.

It took lots of fiddling around with the sunroofs on all 3 of the cars to get them right. The 951 had a bad cable. The. 6-speed not only had broken sliders on the panels, the carriers for the lift arms were broken, and one side would not close all the way.(supposed to be a 9 out of 10 car according to the PO, PorscheG96) The Tip had one corner lifting a little before the other and a broken piece on the panel. But now they work well.

I think one of the best things about the 968 is the large sunroof. It looks great with it out.
